Yes, when the work area and weather allow a clean, controlled application. A garage or climate-controlled space is preferred because wind, rain, dust, pollen, temperature, and humidity can affect the installation. If the on-site environment is not suitable, Phantom also offers a drop-off option.
Ceramic coating can help resist light micro-marring when the vehicle is washed correctly, but it is not scratch-proof and it will not prevent rock chips or deep scratches. Mineral water spots can also form if hard water is allowed to dry on the surface.
Most ceramic coating installations are completed within one day, but timing can vary based on vehicle size, paint condition, preparation required, weather, and the selected coating. We confirm the expected turnaround after inspecting the vehicle.
Keep the vehicle dry and avoid washing until your technician says the initial cure period is complete. After that, use pH-neutral soap, clean wash media and towels, and safe hand-washing methods. Avoid harsh chemicals and automatic brush washes, and remove bird droppings, tree sap, bugs, and mineral deposits promptly. Product-specific cure and maintenance instructions are provided at handoff.
Every installation starts with an inspection so we can evaluate the paint condition, existing protection, contamination, and realistic expectations. We then foam wash and hand wash the vehicle, use chemical and mechanical decontamination as needed, and polish the paint included with the selected package. After a panel wipe removes polishing residue, the coating is applied and leveled one section at a time. The vehicle is then kept dry and clean while the coating begins to cure, and we provide product-specific handoff instructions.
Weather matters. Wind, airborne pollen, rain, dust, temperature, and humidity can affect application. Mobile installation is possible when the work area is suitable, but a garage or climate-controlled space is preferred. Drop-off is available when on-site conditions are not appropriate for a clean application.
A coating does not eliminate washing and cannot prevent every scratch, chip, stain, or water spot. To protect its performance, use safe wash methods, remove bird droppings, sap, and bugs promptly, avoid harsh chemicals and automatic brush washes, and follow the cure and maintenance instructions provided at handoff. Durability depends on the selected package, exposure, storage, and upkeep.
