Our Paint Correction Packages

Paint correction is a controlled machine-polishing process that removes a small amount of damaged clear coat to level or soften visible defects and restore gloss. It can improve swirl marks, wash marring, oxidation, haze, light scratches, and some water-spot etching. It cannot safely remove every defect: scratches that catch a fingernail, damage through the clear coat, failing paint, chips, and severe etching may require touch-up or repainting.

Jacksonville paint is exposed to strong UV, heat, rain, pollen, bugs, tree sap, mineral deposits, and frequent washing. Those conditions can leave oxidation, water spots, and fine wash marks that make the finish look dull. We inspect the vehicle in focused lighting, evaluate defect depth and clear-coat condition, and discuss a realistic improvement target before polishing.

Our Paint Correction Process

We start with an inspection under focused lighting to identify swirl marks, oxidation, haze, water-spot etching, micro-marring, and scratches. After a foam wash and hand wash, we decontaminate the paint and glass so bonded contamination does not interfere with polishing. A test spot helps determine the least aggressive pad, polish, or compound combination that can produce a meaningful improvement while preserving clear coat.

A one-step service combines correction and refinement in one polishing stage. A two-step service uses a correction stage followed by a finer polishing stage to improve clarity and finish. We inspect the paint as we work and stop where further polishing would remove more clear coat than the result justifies. No responsible correction process can promise that every scratch or etched water spot will disappear.

The included sealant provides short-term protection after polishing. For longer-term protection and easier maintenance, compare our ceramic coating options. A coating protects the corrected finish; it does not replace the correction needed to improve existing defects.

Will paint correction remove every scratch?
No. Light scratches and clear-coat defects can often be improved, but scratches that catch a fingernail or extend through the clear coat should not be chased aggressively. We prioritize a strong visible improvement without sacrificing unnecessary clear coat.

What is the difference between one-step and two-step correction?
A one-step service uses one polishing stage to improve lighter defects and gloss. A two-step service uses a correction stage followed by a refining polish for moderate to heavier defects. Paint condition, paint hardness, and your goals determine which service is appropriate.

Can paint correction improve water spots and oxidation?
It can improve many mineral deposits, etched water spots, oxidation, haze, and wash marks, but the result depends on how deeply the damage has affected the paint. Inspection and a test spot show what can be corrected safely.

Should ceramic coating be applied after paint correction?
It is optional, but coating a corrected finish provides longer-lasting protection and easier maintenance than the included sealant. Correction improves existing defects; ceramic coating helps protect the finish that remains.
